Rio is the capital city in Brasil.

It is the second largest city in Brasil.

There are about 6.3 million people within the city proper, making it the 6th 

largest in America, and 26th in the world.

It was founded in 1565, by the Portuguese. The city was initially 

the seat of the Captaincy of Rio de Janeiro.

In 2016 Rio hold the olympic games and this year the world cup is going to celebrated 

there.

         

In the olympic games we are going to see athletes like: Usain 

Bolt, Rafael Nadal, Lebron James and others.

In the world cup we will see: Neymar, Fernando Torres, 

 Ballotelli, Casillas, Xavi and others.
